Week4

This week, we covered a lot of materials about recursion during lectures. Our professor used the class Turtle and Stacks to explain how recursion works. In csc108 last semester, I learned about nested list. I think this week's lecture was somewhat like a continuation of materials taught in the previous course. An interesting point I saw in the Turtle class example was how recursion actually looks like. This visual demonstration helped me understand the concept clearly. Also, one important lesson I learned is the importance of restricting the loop, preventing it from looping around infinitely. At first, it was a bit difficult to trace each examples the professor noted on the slides. Though, just as the professor mentioned during the Wednesday lecture, the difficult part is just the first trial understanding how the recursion code works; the second and third tracing was easier compared to the first. Apart form lectures, exercises and lab mostly focused on the inheritance and raising exceptions. I was able to complete exercise without a problem. One this I should improve is the consistency of the coding style, coding on my own rather than depending too much on the examples posted on lecture slides/Google.
